Keyshia Cole rushed to Las Vegas to be with Floyd Mayweather

Keyshia Cole rushed from Philly to Las Vegas to cheer on Floyd Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather might have a rematch on his mind — but it isn’t with Conor McGregor.

Keyshia Cole, who’s been linked to Mayweather over the past year or so, performed a 35-minute concert at Philadelphia City Councilman Kenyatta Johnson’s Community Appreciation Day in the City of Brotherly Love on Saturday afternoon, then hightailed it to Las Vegas on a private jet, we’re told.

That’s where she met up with the 50-0 pugilist, who fought what will likely be his last professional fight in Sin City that evening.

She even posted an Instagram photo from his locker room, where Mayweather didn’t even have time to change out of his boxing trunks.

Apparently Cole couldn’t wait to get to Vegas, and “drove (everyone) crazy” in Philly, where, we’re told, she did everything she could to reschedule her show, before eventually getting the performance time changed from 7 p.m. to 2 p.m. so that she could make it to the desert for fight night. She then got a police escort to the airport, according to our sources, who said she was wearing “head-to-toe Chanel” and carrying a matching bag. Cole is in the process of divorcing former NBA player Daniel (Boobie) Gibson, with whom she appears on the reality-TV show “Love & Hip Hop.”

Gibson told VH1 last week that he regretted his relationship with Cole didn’t work out.

“I take full responsibility for our marriage not working,” he said. The pair split in 2014 after three years of marriage.

Boxing seems to be in Cole’s blood, though she didn’t discover that until later in life. The 35-year-old singer met her biological father, Virgil Hunter — a longtime boxing trainer — for the first time in May 2106. That’s also when “Money” Mayweather bought Cole a black Mercedes-Benz, which will be waiting for her when she gets back to Los Angeles. And it may be time for an upgrade.

Mayweather, 40, stands to take home up to $250 million for Saturday’s win in Vegas once the receipts are counted, according to some reports.

The night after his big fight, Mayweather came back ready to compete again. He hosted the Candlelighters Charity Celebrity Basketball Game presented by TMT at UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center on Sunday, where musicians Chris Brown and Tank played alongside Golden State Warriors newcomer Nick Young and boxer Adrien Broner. NBA Hall of Famer Allen Iverson was also in the house.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. talks about off-camera run-in with Conor McGregor

With the cameras and microphones off, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor ran into each other in Brooklyn and the veteran boxer decided it was time to employ another of his effective mind tricks on an opponent.

“I was like, ‘I am going to let him know straight up. … I am going to let everybody know where I stand,’” Mayweather said. “He was with all his guys and at the time I was with all my female friends. I say having one [woman] is too close to having none so I had about four of my girls with me and then my daughter was with me.

“I let him know, even without my security or my team, I’m still tough. … I ain’t no punk. I’m just letting [McGregor] know that. So I’m saying, ‘What’s up little dude?’ Just to see if he wants to pop off, because he was popping off on stage.

“He didn’t say nothing.”

David Benavidez vs. Ronald Gavril in Las Vegas, PBC on Bounce

BoxingScene.com has been advised that the recently announced showdown between David Benavidez and Ronald Gavril, who will fight for the vacant WBC super middleweight title, will take place in Las Vegas on September 8th and will headline a PBC on Bounce TV card.

Benavidez (18-0) was originally scheduled to face Callum Smith for the title that was vacated by Badou Jack when Jack decided to move up to the light heavyweight division earlier this year.

Smith dropped out of the fight and joined the World Boxing Super Series super middleweight tournament instead, and faces Erik Skoglund in the first round next month.

Benavidez last fought in May when he stopped Porky Medina in 8 rounds. He will become the youngest super middleweight champion in history at 20 years old if he comes out with the victory. Gavril (18-1) is promoted by Mayweather Promotions and has won 7 fights in a row since suffering his only profesional defeat.

Unbeaten super middleweight prospect Caleb Plant (15-0) advised BoxingScene.com that he will face an opponent to be determined in the co-featured bout.

In other news, BoxingScene.com has also been advised that Alex Martin (13-2) will face Bryan "Goodfella" Perrella (14-1) in the Fox Sports 1 co-feature bout underneath the Devon Alexander-Martin Castillo headliner in Orlando, Florida.

Martin will be looking to snap his two fight losing streak while Perrella will be looking to bounce back from his only career loss.

UK cybersecurity expert still held after Las Vegas arrest

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A British cybersecurity researcher has a date in federal court on Tuesday in Milwaukee, but he was still being held Monday at a U.S. lockup in Nevada, authorities said.

Marcus Hutchins, a hacker who won acclaim after helping in May to curb the spread of WannaCry ransomware during an attack that crippled thousands of computers worldwide, is at the Southern Nevada Detention Center in rural Pahrump, facility spokeswoman Kayla Gieni said.

Hutchins faces charges that he created and distributed malicious software designed to steal banking passwords. Hutchins’ attorney in Las Vegas, Adrian Lobo, didn’t immediately respond to telephone and email messages.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Nancy Koppe in Las Vegas set Hutchins’ bail on Friday at $30,000. Koppe said she expected that he could be released Monday.

The judge decided Hutchins was not a danger to the community and isn’t a risk not to appear for future court proceedings. But Koppe ordered Hutchins to surrender his passport and said Hutchins could fly to Wisconsin without identification.

It’s not clear if he couldn’t raise bail or if he would be transported Monday to Wisconsin in custody.

Hutchins, 23, did not enter a plea at Friday’s hearing. He faces six charges dating to 2014, including conspiracy to commit computer fraud, distributing and advertising an electronic communication interception device, attempting to intercept electronic communications, and trying to access a computer without authorization. He could face decades in federal prison if he is convicted.

An indictment filed last month in Milwaukee was unsealed after Hutchins’ arrest last Wednesday at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. Hutchins was returning home following Def Con, a convention in Las Vegas for computer security professionals, according to a friend.

The charging document says Hutchins and another defendant, whose name was redacted, conspired between July 2014 and July 2015 to advertise, sell and profit from the Kronos banking Trojan malware. The indictment accuses Hutchins of creating the malware and enabling cybertheft by spreading a program that can infect web browsers and capture usernames and passwords.

Hutchins has support in the information-security community, where some call him a principled, ethical hacker. The Electronic Frontier Foundation, a digital civil-liberties nonprofit, was helping Hutchins obtain legal counsel. Karen Gulllo, a spokeswoman for the foundation, declined Monday to comment.

Hutchins lives with his family in the town of Ilfracombe, England, and worked out of his bedroom. His mother, Janet, called it "hugely unlikely" her son was involved in illegalities because he spends much of his time combatting malware attacks.

In May, the curly-haired computer wiz and surfing enthusiast discovered a so-called "kill switch" that slowed the unprecedented WannaCry outbreak. He then spent three days fighting the worm that crippled British hospitals and factories, government agencies, banks and other businesses around the world.

Though Hutchins had previously worked under the alias MalwareTech, cracking WannaCry led to the loss of his anonymity and propelled him to cyber stardom — including public appearances and a $10,000 prize for cracking WannaCry. He said he planned to donate the money to charity.

"I don’t think I’m ever going back to the MalwareTech that everyone knew," he told The Associated Press at the time.
